Our Team
Consultant in Special Care Dentistry & Co-Founder
Everyone deserves dental care that works for them. I believe in taking the time to understand you as a person, not just your teeth, and finding an approach to dental care that works for your individual needs.
I’m an NHS Consultant and Specialist in Special Care Dentistry, with extensive experience supporting people who may find conventional dental care difficult to access. This includes people with learning and physical disabilities, autism, complex medical conditions, dementia, dental anxiety and other barriers to receiving care.
People often come to me when dental care has become complicated, when previous approaches haven’t worked, or when they simply aren’t sure what to do next. My role is to take the time to understand the whole picture: what you need, what you find difficult, what has happened before and what might make things easier.
I’ve worked across hospitals, community dental services, care homes, people’s own homes and services supporting people experiencing homelessness and other forms of social exclusion. That breadth of experience has taught me that good dental care doesn’t always look the same for everyone.
At The Bradley Centre, appointments are designed to give us the time to do that properly. I’ll work with you - and with your family, carers or other professionals where appropriate, to understand what matters to you and develop a safe, realistic and individualised plan for your dental care.
Alongside my clinical work, I hold national and regional leadership roles within Special Care Dentistry and the wider dental profession, and I’m involved in teaching, research and improving access to dental care for people who experience barriers to dental care.
Above all, I want you to feel listened to, respected and involved in decisions about your care.
Because dentistry should fit the person — not the other way around.
Dr Natalie Bradley
Co-Founder & Dental Confidence Coaching
I believe that difficulties accessing dental care are rarely just about teeth. Previous experiences, worries about what might happen and feeling out of control can all make taking the next step towards dental care much harder.
I’m a CMI-qualified coach and psychology graduate, and I am currently a Trainee Clinical Psychologist in the NHS. Before moving into psychology, I spent more than a decade working as a solicitor. My coaching practice is guided by established coaching principles and the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics.
At The Bradley Centre, our Dental Confidence Coaching is a non-clinical, client-led coaching service to help you feel more confident and prepared to access dental care. It gives you space to explore what is important to you, decide what you would like to change and identify your own practical ways forward (with The Bradley Centre or otherwise). This might include thinking about previous experiences, worries about dental care, what helps you feel more in control, or how you would like to approach future appointments.
Dental Confidence Coaching does not involve psychological assessment, diagnosis or treatment and is separate from my clinical psychology training and NHS role.
As Co-Founder of The Bradley Centre, I also support the day-to-day running of the service, so you may hear from me about appointments, bookings, invoices or other practical arrangements during your time with us.
